Two Events This Week: Wine Tasting & Hospital Expansion Meeting

A busy week is ahead for Hubbard Heights residents, and you are invited to join with your neighbors and community to participate!

Thursday, 6:00 Hospital Expansion Meeting at the Stamford Hospital, Room to be announced soon. A large IN PERSON showing is needed to convey our concerns about the impact the $275 million expansion will have on our neighborhood, both during and after construction. Increased traffic and parking issues are likely. Plus general noise and safety issues during construction. The last hospital expansion in 2016 left many residents feeling unheard when the main entrance was moved to the Hubbard/West Broad intersection, and our wishes for muted lighting and greater greenspace were not taken into consideration. Your voice is needed to get the attention of the powers who are making decisions. Saturday, 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wine Tasting Party, hosted by Rick & Laura Florin at 203 Hubbard. All are invited to sample a selection of fine wines chosen by neighborhood wine connoisseur, Chris Williams. Light snacks & hor d’oevers served also. If you’ve attended our wine tastings in the past you know it’s a great time for casually hanging out and getting to know friends and neighbors. Space is limited, so please RSVP soon by visiting: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F45AFAA28A1FDC61-65608301-hhawine#/

We NEED YOU, and hope to see you at one or both events.
